FitMiss Burn Review: Does it work?

Intro: What is it?

FitMiss Burn is a weight loss pill for women that contain many stimulant ingredients.  It’s made to work with its 6 different proprietary blends, which create 6 different and unique benefits.

It’s claimed to provide energy and focus, appetite suppression and fat metabolization, balanced mood and stress relief, water weight loss, and enzymes for the proper breakdown of macronutrients. The product essentially claims to offer an all in one weight loss pill, which combines all the common benefits, claimed by all existing types of weight management tools. Is there any benefit to mixing all these types of proprietary formulas? Are results typical and safe? This full review offers all the information you need to know to make an informed opinion.

Chromium Polynicotinate: Chromium supplement used to regulate blood sugar levels. It’s been shown to potentially increase the risk for health problems. Live Strong.com adds that it may:

“aggravate existing health conditions”

It’s also suggested for women to get just 25 micrograms. FitMiss Burn has 66 micrograms per serving. So at the full-recommended dose this brand provides 132 micrograms, or 107 micrograms more than what’s recommended at a daily rate.

Caffeine Anhydrous: Dehydrated version of the common stimulant caffeine. FitMiss has 150 mg per serving, which is roughly 2 cups of coffees worth of caffeine. This stimulant raises blood pressure and increases function of the heart and muscles. It can lead to side effects that include:

  • Rapid heart rate.
  • Anxiety and paranoia.
  • Mood swings and irritability.
  • Tremors, twitching, and muscle spasms.
  • Insomnia and restlessness.
  • Sweating and flush skin.

At the full dose one receives 300 mg, which is 100 less than the advised daily limit for most humans. Caffeine often creates a tolerance, which reduces and often eliminates all the beneficial properties. It’s often advised to take a month long break in order to receive the possible benefits. However, since it’s a stimulant drug, it may cause anxiety and cardiovascular damage with repeat use.

Glucomannan: Dietary fiber made from the konjac plant. It’s highly advised to drink enough water to prevent choking or intestinal blockages. It can also lead to side effects:

  • Indigestion.
  • Diarrhea.
  • Dehydration.
  • Loss of vitamins and minerals.

The company does advise to drink a gallon of water a day. This is partially due to the fiber ingredient, which can cause serious side effects when not supplemented with enough water. The FDA has also listed a warning that insufficient hydration can promote choking.

DL-Pheneylalalanine: Laboratory made amino acid used to increase the amount of chemical signals in the body. It’s unknown exactly how this ingredient might work according to Web MD. They also add that:

“not enough reliable information about the safety”

Due to its lack of research, it’s unknown whether or not safe effects can be guaranteed. The makers of FitMiss Burn fail to provide any of their studies to show whether or not this ingredient can produce safe results.

5-HTP: Used to create serotonin, which is used to regulate and improve overall mood. When supplementing it’s important to get the right amount, since it can cause depression in high amounts.  FitMiss Burn extracts this ingredient from the Griffonia Simplicifolia shrub, which there’s lacking information on whether or not it’s effective.  There’s conflicting evidence on whether or not this ingredient provides a useful amount of 5-HTP.

Echinacea: Herb most commonly used to prevent cold. Studies have shown it to be unreliable. According to Examine.com:

“amount of benefit derives is similarly unreliable”

In studies it often does not outperform placebo.

Dandelion Root: Herb that is used as a diuretic. Examine.com has studied this ingredient and concluded that:

“cannot be recommended at this time due to a lack of human evidence”

It’s claimed diuretic effect has also been questioned, as some studies show there isn’t any benefit in losing water weight. Drinking sufficient water is recommended for all diuretics.

Uva Ursi: Plan that’s used as a diuretic and also as a way to reduce swelling. Web MD reports that it’s

“POSIBLY UNSAFE when taken by mouth in high doses or long term.”

Possible side effects can include serious issues such as:

  • Stomach discomfort.
  • Eye and breathing problems.
  • Convulsions.
  • Death.

FitMiss Burn Quality of Ingredients

The high amounts of stimulants that feature 300 mg of caffeine per daily serving as well as yerba mate, guarana, green tea leaf extract, and yohimbine, can cause unwanted side effects that include nausea, headache, and rapid heart rate.

Other ingredients, which may cause digestive issues, include glucomannan and dandelion root. Glucomannan has been often cited for its possibility to induce choking, and dandelion root hasn’t had enough studies done to show whether or not it’s safe or effective.

The lack of information and the possibly dangerous amounts of 5-HTP are difficult to determine. Usually this ingredient is advised are certain dosages to prevent any brain chemical issues.

Also, there’s added food coloring in 3 forms with a higher than average amount of chromium. All these ingredients together can potentially cause unwanted side effects. No explanation is ever offered to show how these are beneficial for women.

The Price and Quality of FitMiss Burn

If purchased directly from the manufacturers a 45 serving bottle will cost $34.99. This means the daily price at the recommended 4 capsules a day is:

$34.99/22.5= $1.55 per daily serving.

Other factors to consider is that it’s suggested to take these capsules before meals, and not too close to bedtime in order to prevent insomnia and restlessness.

Drinking a gallon of water a day is also advised. This is common for diuretic and fiber blends, which may cause choking and dehydration if not supplemented according to the mentioned standards.

A lot of precautions must be considered and many of the ingredients haven’t been proven to work on their own. It’s unknown what kind of a total effect it may have when supplemented as a whole.  No clinical studies or evidence is ever provided by the company, despite their many claims.

Use of Food Coloring

Unnecessary food colorings are added simply to make the product look a certain way.

There are 3 different forms in Red #3, Red #40, and Blue #1.

Red #40 was once banned in France, Switzerland, France Denmark, and Belgium.  Possible side effects can include DNA damage, hives, and swelling in the throat.

The FDA also sent a 2003 notice about Blue #1 and its possibility for causing life threatening side effects.  According to them there were several reports of:

“ several repots of toxicity, including death”

The Center for Science in the Public Interest has reviewed the science and concluded that it’s not only unnecessary, but potentially side effect causing. They’ve sent notice to the FDA to ban food colorings including Red #40.

Conclusion

It’s important to consider the following about FitMiss Burn:

  • Many of the ingredients can produce side effects: Several of the additives have been shown to potentially cause negative symptoms. Some of these ingredients need to be taken in exact dosages in order to prevent any unwanted effects. Both 5-HTP and Chromium are often advised in certain dosages. It’s known that for women a simple 25 micrograms is advised per day, while this product has 66 micrograms.
  • Several customers have listed symptoms and a lack of weight loss: The majority of negative reviews have to do with people who failed to see any benefits, even when they included diet and exercise. People also experienced a change in their menstrual cycle, as well as jitters, and rapid heart rate. There were also 2 cases of people having to be hospitalized due to extreme side effects. This is from people who took this product while following the strict dosing requirements. Stimulant formulas do affect people in different ways, as some added how they failed to see any change at all.
  • Some of the ingredients have no use: The 3 forms of food coloring aren’t necessary, since their only purpose is to give this brand some color. These additives have been shown to potentially cause hives, hyperactivity, and DNA damage. Groups have fought to ban these additives since they have no nutritional value. The added enzymes also make up a large part of this formula, though enzymes aren’t required in most people since they’re often only prescribed to those that have difficulty creating their own natural enzymes. This is often only an issue with those who have a faulty pancreas. Though a standard dose can vary from person to person.
  • There’s no proof provided to back up the company’s claims: The company has claimed that results are visible within 2 weeks. No clinical studies or customer testimonials are offered to help prove this claim. It’s unknown where this specific timeframe came up, or if these results are typical without added diet and exercise. It also claims to provide all day energy without any negative crash; this is also never backed up by proof. Some customers who took this product felt jitters as well as negative stimulant effects.
  • It’s never explained why this brand is made specifically for women: Though FitMiss is targeted towards women, nowhere on the official website is there mention as to what benefit it has that only women can gain. Judging from the ingredients, it’s likely that the claim it’s made for women is just a marketing strategy. Without evidence otherwise, it’s unknown which of these ingredients are formulated for women. The amount of chromium added surpasses the daily women’s limit as well as the men’s. So it’s unknown why the company has added amounts of this ingredient that are more than what’s advised for the average woman.

There’s a lack of key details, which make it difficult to accurately judge what can be expected with FitMiss Burn. Without knowing what makes it made for women, and due to the lack of proof for some of the ingredients, it’s unknown what kind of an effect this may have.

The majority of customer reviews have been negative with people either listing side effects or a lack of weight loss benefits.  The makers of this brand have also been criticized for not providing actual amounts of their listed ingredients.
